Her blood is very special because she is an alchemist and also a witch. Sydney must protect the human lives and keep vampires' world in secret. Despite the incident with the Dimitri and Rose, the other alchemists reluctantly called her to guard and protect Jill Dragomir, the sister of Moroi Queen Lissa, who is in danger because of Moroi rebels.
Sydney is not happy about her new task as she is afraid of being accused of connection with vampires. Moroi strongly believe that girls will be in safety in human boarding school in Palm Springs, California, but they cannot even imagine how their stay there will turn out. All characters are really well-developed and the whole book is focused on changes in their minds. The series gets inside the heads of the characters and explores how they grow and it does not seem to be dull. This young-adult book is full of action, intrigue, magic, romance and dramas.
It will be perfect for those who are fond of the Vampire Academy series and want to explore the life of other characters from this incredible storyline. A must read for fans of paranormal romance!
