The RVFD responds to fires, emergency medical calls, hazardous materials, traffic accidents, non-emergent public assist calls; and on a variety of other types of incidents anytime we are requested by the Community.
My vision for the future includes a Fire Service in the Rio Vista area that is seamless, without boundaries and comes together to serve the public as if we were one Fire Department. Even though we may have different districts and departments mixed throughout the area, we should operate as one in the best interest of the public and firefighter safety. As your Fire Chief I am committed to continuous improvement and the constant evaluation of our service, to ensure it meets community expectations and best practices.
